Protect yourself and others!

As protective face masks now become mandatory in parts of society it is important we understand the effect this has in controlling Covid-19 and why it should be implemented wherever social distancing is unavoidable.

Many of us have probably seen similar transmission rate infographics being shared on various social platforms. While the exact transmission percentage rate isn't always accurate the basics principle of the transmission probability rate is.

As you can see from our graphic it is important we all wear face masks in areas where social distancing is not feasible as it simply reduces the transmission probability. It is a small and simple measure which we can all adopt, along with washing our hands frequently to reduce the spread.

There have been various reports of silent carriers of coronavirus spreading the disease unknowingly. For these reasons we urge all to adopt these basic measures to help protect each other.
